Process: Washed
Altitude: 1800m-2000m Harvest: Oct-Jan
Flavour notes: Blueberry, Rosehip, Floral, Lemon, Tea
Widely celebrated for its elegance, clarity, and aromatic complexity. Cultivated at high altitudes of 1,800–2,000 meters, this coffee thrives in rich soil and shaded, forest-like conditions that allow its flavors to develop slowly and beautifully.
This washed-process coffee delivers a light-to-medium body with bright, vibrant acidity and a crisp, clean finish. The cup is distinctly tea-like, offering refined floral notes of rosehip and jasmine, balanced by citrus brightness and hints of blueberry. Delicate yet expressive, it’s a classic example of why Yirgacheffe coffees are prized worldwide.
Often regarded as part of coffee’s birthplace, Yirgacheffe is produced by smallholder farmers using traditional methods and heirloom varietals, contributing to its remarkable depth, balance, and consistency.
