METHOD
 
DESCAMEX is a pioneering company in Latin America's decaffeination industry, founded in 1980 by Domingo Muguira Revuelta. In 1990, the Sanroke Group acquired Descamex, and invested in four coffee warehouses in southern Mexico to strengthen their relationship with producers and ensure the quality of their supply chains. Today, Descamex provides technical support to coffee producers across its Mexican supply chain, with a focus on exporting high-quality decaffeinated coffee. Their decaffeination process takes place at the Mountain Water facility in Veracruz, Mexico. This unique process, known as the Mountain Water Process, uses water from Mexico's highest mountain, Pico de Orizaba, to gently remove caffeine from green beans. During the process, green beans are immersed in water to extract caffeine, while preserving the coffee's original flavor. A filtration system removes caffeine from the water, resulting in 99.9% caffeine-free, high-quality Pure Mountain Water Process Decaffeinated green beans.
